Ink 19 :: The Bouncing Souls
July 1999 :: Music B :: The Bouncing Souls (Patrick Rafter)
The Bouncing Souls Hopeless Romantic Epitaph So, I'm walking down to the local punk rock show. They aren't letting anyone inside yet, so I take a seat out front with the punkers. I take a seat next against the wall of the club. Feeling a little uncomfortable, so I decide to hum a little Bouncing Souls ...

September 1999 :: Warped Tour :: Bouncing Souls (Brian Krueger)
BOUNCING SOULS Lakewood Amphitheater Atlanta, GA 7/29/99 by Brian Krueger As luck would have it, the day I finally got to see Bouncing Souls also happened to be the day of the 10th anniversary of their first club gig. I would not have known this had there not been an announcement of same from the lads ...

Bouncing Souls with Inwoods, Jon Cougar Concentration Camp, & Blanks 77 Club Limelight, Melbourne, FL 2.1.98 by David A Clark East Coast punk band Bouncing Souls rolled into town and stole the show, literally. While the other three bands tried to win the crowd, Bouncing Souls owned them. Running through ...
Ink 19 :: Bouncing Souls
The Social, in Orlando, has been frequently offering two-night residencies to bands that can easily sell out the small venue. Booking the bill with big talent and odd packaging, these shows are usually a hot ticket and always memorable. For a holiday treat in December, Bouncing Souls were the band in big letters with hefty support from The Street Dogs, Whole Wheat Bread and World/Inferno Friendship Society. Jen Cray was there for the mayhem on night #2.
BOUNCING SOULS THE STREET DOGS, WHOLE WHEAT BREAD, WORLD/INFERNO FRIENDSHIP SOCIETY Orlando, Fl Dec. 7, 2006 by Jen Cray It was another two-night residency at Orlando's premium smalltime venue, The Social. The popular spot has found its niche in booking high-end underground acts and stacking the bill ...
Ink 19 :: The Bouncing Souls
How I Spent My Summer Vacation (Epitaph). Review by Brian Kruger.
THE BOUNCING SOULS HOW I SPENT MY SUMMER VACATION Epitaph The latest record from The Bouncing Souls continues their approach of marrying uplifting lyrics to pop punk, which fortunately does not fall into the cookie-cutter glossy Calpunk sound (unlike bands like NOFX and Millencolin -- and yes, I know ...

Ink 19 :: The Year in Photos
If a picture's worth a thousand words, here's a 19,000 word essay from staff photographer Jen Lato, summing up 2001 both professionally and personally.
...I shot about seven rolls of film that day, and he's in about half of them just acting stupid. Luckily, it worked out for the best. Jen Lato 8) The Bouncing Souls I don't really remember where this was taken. Warped Tour... somewhere. I'd say Virginia Beach, because that seemed to be the day of good...
Ink 19 :: Short Music For Short People
August 1999 :: Music Q-S :: Short Music For Short People (Andrew Chadwick)
...songs are so short they are over that much quicker. Success for me is found with the bands on here who stray from that style (Dillinger Four, Avail, Bouncing Souls, and classics from Descendents, Circle Jerks, the Damned, D.O.A., D.I., Black Flag, and Poison Idea), with an extra-big, extra-shiny gold...
Ink 19 :: Pennywise
Who else but Pennywise could get a song called "Fuck Authority" on the radio, and still have the punk rock muscle to back up the message? Kiran Aditham talks about politics -- both in the world at large and in the music industry -- with guitarist Fletcher Dragge.
...anybody you're looking forward to seeing this year? The Vandals are always entertaining. There is Rancid, H20, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, The Bouncing Souls [laughs]. I could just go down the whole list. I'm into seeing how Henry Rollins is going to do. The [tour bus area] is really social. You...

...them a chance to include tracks from bands that aren't actually on the label, but will certainly draw people to this record, i.e. Bad Religion, Bouncing Souls, No Use for a Name, Murphy's Law, Pilfers, etc.), this is still a good sampling of what the labels are all about.
