Brevard County, Florida has uncovered another gem in what has become a talent-rich music scene. This trio has released a debut record of ten songs (available at the e-address below) that reflect a welcome diversity to the monochromatic sound many bands often fall into.
Although the group is now venturing to all points of Central Florida and may be new to the masses, individually they bring years of performing, writing, and musicianship to the table. Their lyrics are thought-provoking, and the delivery ranges from jangly pop ("Steps to Nowhere") to the straight-up rock of "Barnacle." "It's Time" highlights a more melodic approach, while "Angels" reminded me of an eighties alternative sound I found quite enjoyable. "Guide You Away" could certainly hold its own as a radio-friendly hit - not too overbearing, with some nice guitar stylings.
I understand the band has recently been signed by Crown Records in New York, and is currently at work on their second album.
