Agreeable pop that sometimes sounds like 1980 Joe Jackson minus the songwriting. Falsetto vocals and low power-pop guitars blend to make a new, densely sweet but imperfect concoction, certainly not without interest but a bit like an unfulfilled promise or a blind date with whom you just don't have any sparks.
