Rolling out of Southern California, the breeding ground of so many classic '80s hardcore bands, is a new giant. Whose War is It comes out swinging with a raging political hardcore edge more similar to English bands like GBH and the Exploited than most American bands. Screaming out against a phony and complicit political system, SSB scream scathing indictments in typical punk rock style, in passionate screeds that barely surpass the two-minute mark. Anyone familiar with hardcore in general will know what to expect: blistering vocals, blitzkrieg rhythm section and a passionate blood pressure raising gallop of rhythm.
