TMBG featured on "WIG IN A BOX"

TMBG is proud to announce we are joining our close show business friends Rufus Wainwright, Ben Folds and Ben Kweller, Sleater-Kinney, Frank Black, Yoko Ono, and Jonathan Richman among many, many other excellent artists for perhaps the best benefit disc so far in this very brief millennium. "Wig In A Box" is the songs from the off Broadway cult hit "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" covered by some great performers. All profits go to the Harvey Milk School, a unique public high school located in Manhattan for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered teens-so it's a great disc for a great cause. We recorded "The Long Grift," the ballad from the theatrical show that somehow didn't make it to the movie (even though it's many people's favorite). There will also be a DVD of the entire "making of" featuring an original puppet show-yes a puppet show-of "The Long Grift" created by none other than Robin "Goldie" Goldwasser.
