Manic Street Preachers Documentary Is Go!

In a move I thought I'd never see, MSP bassist Nicky Wire has revealled that work will be starting on a documentary on his band, produced by the same company that put out "Bowling For Columbine." This is something to be very excited about, for a time the Manic Street Preachers were one of the most visually compelling and kinetic bands around, and if this film catches even a fraction of that, wooooowwww........

Happy 10th Birthday, .mp3!

On July 14th, the name “MP3″ celebrates its tenth anniversary. On this day back in 1995, the researchers at Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS decided to use “.mp3″ as the file name extension for their new audio coding technology. Soon MP3 became the generally accepted acronym for the ISO standard IS 11172-3 “MPEG Audio Layer 3″.
