Eddie Guerrero Dead At 38

from the Much Too Young dept.

Latino wrestling superstar Eddie Guerrero was found dead of an apparent heart attack in his Minneapolis hotel room Sunday morning. He was 38 years old. This is a tremendous loss for the industry. Eddie was one of the star performers of the WWE roster, and respected by fans and peers alike. A consummate performer in every sense of the word, Guerrero wrestled in Mexico and in the US for the three major federations (ECW, WCW, WWE), where he won over fans with incredible promos and stellar athleticism. Guerrero could easily shift from high-flying lucha libre, to the "pure wrestling" style of ROH, to the hardcore antics of ECW. Guerrero created entertaining gimmicks out of thin air (LWO, Uncle Eddie, Latino Heat, Cheat To Win) and was a natural on the mic. At the time of his death, he was to begin a feud with Batista for the Smackdown title. Eddie Guerrero will be missed.
