Character actor extraordinaire Vincent Schiavelli died recently of lung cancer in his home town of Sicily. Schiavelli brought his distinctive look and presence to scores of films and television shows, including One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Ghost, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Charlie's Angels, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Amadeus, Batman Returns, and The People vs. Larry Flynt. In 1997 Vanity Fair voted him one of America's best character actors. But did you also know that he was an accomplished chef? He wrote three cookbooks and many articles for food magazines.
