Nickel Creek Goes their separate streams

The new Nickel Creek collection Reasons Why (The Very Best Of) is out on the street on the heels the group's recent announcement of an indefinite hiatus to begin at the end of the 2007 touring season. "We've decided to take a break of indefinite length at the end of 2007 to preserve the environment we've sought so hard to create and to pursue other interests," the band said on its website.
Chris Thile just released How To Grow A Woman From The Ground, a bluegrass album recorded in New York. Siblings Sean and Sara Watkins continue their popular "Watkins Family Hour," at Largo in Los Angeles, as well as working on other projects.

String Cheese Incident to go separate ways in 2007

Veteran jam band The String Cheese Incident will dissolve at the end of next summer, at which time principal member Billy Nershi plans to set out on his own.
