Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater returns to the FOX
from the Dance dept.
In addition to Alvin Ailey’s beloved Revelations, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s 2007 Atlanta engagement will feature the highly anticipated company premiere of The Golden Section by Tony Award-winning choreographer Twyla Tharp with music by David Byrne and newly-designed costumes by Santo Loquasto. The Golden Section shatters the limits of human physicality with breathtaking leaps, finely-honed partnering and explosive joy. It is “dancing of astonishing beauty and power,” raved The New Yorker. A new production of the legendary collaboration between Alvin Ailey and musical genius Duke Ellington, The River, will also be performed in February.

FestivalLink.net Flourishes in First Year
from the Music Business dept.
Just as Country Music has proven to have been ahead of the curve by filming many of the classic 50's TV shows in color, Folk Music is the first to embrace an alternative to bootlegs for the legions of diehard fans. It’s a business model that flourished in its first year. As 2007 rolls around, FestivaLink continues to expand its digital music reach by working with the award-winning Wintergrass music festival to release recordings from the 2007 event and the festival’s archives. FestivaLink.net will offer professionally recorded and mixed legal copies of select Wintergrass performances; selections will be announced shortly. The recordings will be available in Mp3 format at 128 kpbs resolution and will play on any Mp3 compatible device.
