from the It goes by so fast... dept.
With another entry in what is to become an exciting trend, Nettwerk recording artist (and former world-class snowboarder) Junkie XL has made available for online purchase his compositions for the new Nintendo Wii title SSX Blur (Electronic Arts). The soundtrack, which time-travels through the sounds of electronica all the way from now to the '60s, features compositions written specifically for the different sections of the game, highlighting the changing terrain and feel of each. Both the game and the soundtrack are available now.

Captain America dead at 89
from the Something's gonna get you eventually dept.
Captain America, the comic book superhero with a penchant for figure-hugging body suits in red, white and blue, has died at the age of 89, shot dead in New York. The Marvel comic book hero is written out of the script in copies hitting the newsstands Wednesday after more than 65 years fighting villains, felled by a sniper's bullet on the steps of a Manhattan court house. Co-creator Joe Simon, himself a little older than Captain America at 93, told the New York Daily News he was saddened by his character's demise. "It's a hell of a time for him to go. We really need him now," he said.
